"it's the Poe you don't know that'll kill ya"
Since his death in the city of Baltimore at the age of 40,
Edgar Allan Poe has had a rough ride (like evita) his body has been dug up twice already,
and some are not sure it was his corpse to start with...
Worse - the city of Baltimore refuses to give his (possible) remains back to the city
that Poe wrote his best stuff in - Philadelphia. Tensions between these two cities (and a few others)
have resulted in puppet-wars, cyber-petitions, rudeness at the yearly Poe-Conventions
and a possible boycott of the new
'Griswold National Cemetery' opening in 2011 in Baltimore.
The time has come for Philadelphia's Poe-House Rangers
(national park rangers stationed at the historical Poe-house) to reclaim their hero.
But standing between them and Edgar are Baltimore's own Historical Poe-House Rangers and
the great-great-great grandson of Poe's fiercest critic
(the man who 'buried' ol eddy in his obituary) Rufus Wilmot Griswold.
Can our noble nerds get away with grave-robbing or will they discover a far greater evil than can be typed into a simple description?
POE, UNEARTHED is part of a feature arriving in 2011 titled The NECRONOMICOMEDIE*
it features four freakish tales of the bizarre, the demonic, the absurd
and the very nearly implausible.
