  • Is this really a series--will there be more episodes--or only a one-time sketch? I like the premise. I used to be a fan of Sonny & Cher (still am, of their music and old TV series), and even of some of Cher's solo music and films. But thinking back to that cute, little girl who used to appear on her parents' TV show, and looking at how now she has evolved into "Chaz" is disturbing, somehow. If Chastity had grown up to become a lipstick lesbian, even, would be fine. But I have trouble comprehending how homosexuals, attracted to their own gender, would want to, in essenece, become the very gender to which they are not sexually attracted. I would think a gay male would want to be very masculine, a lesbian very feminine.
  • I have always thought there may be problematic outcomes from these hippy parents having given their offspring out-of-the-ordinary, even strange names. One just knew a girl given the name "Chastity" was destined to encounter troubles along the way, would, at the least, become promiscuous, the antithesis of her given name. I used to joke if I became father to three boys, would have named them Groucho, Chico & Harpo, or Curly, Larry & Moe. But a kid has to live with her/his name, at least until old enough to legally change it (and by then the damage may be already done). So parents should put their egos, their whims, their proclivity towrd trendiness aside, and think of the well-being and adjustment of their kids, before giving them strange names. What's so terrible about "John" and "Mary" or "David" and "Elizabeth" anyway?
