Recently, a few of SNL's sketches have caused a huge uproar on the NBC.com message boards, and by extension a huge amount of work for me, Nick Fox, SNL Message Board Moderator. As to the equipment and cue card issue, this entire think was conceived, shot, and edited in under 70 minutes...I really didn't feel like dragging out and setting up a light kit or wasting time by memorizing lines...it was just something I did for funzies.

josamsaunt: I hadn't thought of that but can see it now that you mention it. I was thinking more along the lines of "Me, Al Franken" when making this, and I believe the tape I recorded onto is labeled "12 Shades of Franken."

nick_8: if it helps, imagine it's one of those awesome, Japanese, robotic toilets that clean you off with warm water.

You think if he really were involved with SNL, he'd have better lighting and camera equipment... and maybe not read the huge cue card for the whole monologue, but then again maybe that does make him a part of SNL.
