Just remember – most of the people in charge at FEMA are not career government employees. Instead they are political appointees from the Bush camp. FEMA had a great reputation until the administration turned it into another victim of the spoils system. You have to actually CAUSE a catastrophe to get fired, had he lit the fire himself he’d have been sent home.
That would be funnier if it wasn’t true. The only thing that happened to that guy was that he didn’t get a promotion. What does it take to get fired from FEMA.
