NRA - Stand and Fight Parody

The NRA thinks Obama is an elitist hypocrite for having the Secret Service to protect his daughters with guns. The NRA made this new ad to point out the hypocrisy.

  • Gun Free Zones would be great if the crazies and criminals would abide by that rule too. Just saying.
  • Please Will, don't turn into another Hollywood douche, I don't want to put you on a level with Rosy O'donnell
  • THE AD: Tasteless, clueless and classless...as typical as always. Reactive, radical and offensive.
  • Reactive, radical, clueless , tasteless, as well as radical and offensive.
  • not funny - not because of the political content o the position it takes on the issue (I mostly agree on the content) - it's just strident and preachy and unfunny.
  • is dis real?
  • So, this means it's about time that ANOTHER President gets killed with guns? Right? Okay, who wants to be Lee Harvey Oswald this time? All those interested raise your Assault Weapons!
  • This is not aimed at the vast majority of my lovely sane American friends - but I would like them to share it to the insane.
  • What's the appeal of a semi automatic weapon? Is it an ego thing? And you gun owners. Do you really think the gov is coming for your guns? NRA does a good job creating paranoia among ignorant members. Come to think of it, the execs in the NRA are ignorant
  • So, I go to the bank, there is an armed guard. Drive past a construction project; with an armed police guard. Drive past a marathon, patrolled by police. Drive past a funeral, led by special armed funeral escorts. Walk into a Corporation, sign in with an armed guard. I go to the airport, more armed security than anything. Get on a plane, there is an undercover armed air marshal sitting next to me. I go to the mall, it's patrolled by armed Sherriff's. I stop at the Arizona State Fair, patrolled by DPS. I want to go out on the lake, here come the Sheriff's with guns on their hips. I want to walk in the forest, I'm told it's hunting season by an armed Game & Fish officer. I stop by Fry's Grocery in Avondale AZ, armed guards greet me at the door.I stop by the Courthouse, greeted by armed guards, a metal detector, and an x-ray machine. I go to ASU, they have their own police force part of AZ Dept of Public Safety. I stop at a high school/middle school/elementary school and I'm greeted with a secretary with a bowl of candy on her desk.
  • Snark away your rights.....
  • Great parody; but the original NRA ad is so weird it's like a parody already.
  • Too subtle.
  • Pat B and Andy M are geniuses.
  • Interesting. I'm pretty sure more kids were killed in Newtown than all of our assassinated presidents combined...just a thought
  • Both the right and the left are using fear culture here. Why call out the NRA for using fear tactics when the general liberal sentiment is that the government can kill as many US citizens and children abroad as they want, but everyone else can't be trusted with freedom.
  • The sad part is, he IS a hypocritical elitist.
  • Being anti gun is against our constitution. Do we really need to argue about this? Without the American citizens personal firearms we would have never even had a chance in winning the revolutionary war. It's funny how quickly people will forget the past or just write it off making comments about how "that will never happen again". If anything history has shown to repeat itself. In the end you have to ask yourself the question "Do I want to give up my rights in the HOPE that everyone will be "safe". " or "Do I want to keep the freedoms that I was given by this country so that no government could again dominate the lives of it's people." ? In the end I would rather live with freedom, even if it means I can not be "safe" all of the time. Life isn't about being safe, no one can ever keep you safe from everything. Stop being so afraid and just live your life. Bad shit is going to happen but that doesn't mean we should let it control us and dictate what freedoms a law abiding man can have.
