Karen

I don’t have it in me. I didn’t even know what this meant until Second Period.

Carol

Are you studying rhymes in Home Ec now?

Carol

No, I’m trying being very positive today.

Karen

New man?

Carol

No, but this weekend I am going to LA and I’m gonna meet my man.

Karen

Carol, please give up the dream of meeting Seth Rogan.

Carol

How can I give up on the perfect guy? He’s sweet. He’s so hot. He’s got great fashion sense. His hair is to die for.

Karen

His body is so hairy it makes me want to die.

Carol

Cut it out.

Karen

Look, I’ve gotta find a way to save face in front of these f-ing brats. They think they’re so smart asking me during Health Class if I have a Friend with Benefits.

Carol

You said yes?

Karen

Yes I said yes. I thought they were asking me if you know, my friendships had benefits. Like having a movie buddy. Someone to call when my car breaks down and I need a ride. Or someone that knows all my secrets. Everyone just died laughing and then the bell rang.

Carol

Do me a favor and please start watching Gossip Girl. You’ve got to quit falling into their traps. They know you are clueless.

Karen

Thanks a lot. Now what do I do.

I’ve got a Parent Teacher Conference next period. I’m friendly with Joe’s dad Phillip. Let me handle this.
