And the other reason you'll find that most videos on here are pro-Democrat is the simple fact that most artists (and by this I mean all creative people, including actors and comedians) lean that way. Why? Because liberal, Democratic values tend to line up with those of artists. Values like supporting the arts, defending freedom of speech, being open to new ideas, embracing other cultures, pushing us to think differently, challenging the status quo, caring for our planet, looking out for those less fortunate... These are the ways artists tend to think. Artists are sensitive, compassionate, tolerant people. And artists are the ones who make videos. Quality, funny videos, in any case. A lot of artists are gay, too, and you think they'll support a party that doesn't see them as equal human beings? (And before you go on an anti-gay rant, imagine how badly your clothes would be designed or how tacky your furniture would look without gay people.) So if you can't stand being exposed to left-wing humour, you really shouldn't be on a site for clever, humorous videos. Go over to Youtube and look for videos with people getting hit in the nuts or falling off piers if you think you might get a laugh out of that. But if you want your funny videos to contain some politics or social commentary, you're going to be shit out of luck unless you start your own right-wing comedy site and can round up enough people who are somehow both socially conservative and funny/creative/artistic. I'd be interested to see how that turns out, so please keep Adam and I posted.

Because the truth is, white people and men are the traditional oppressors of black people and women. The comedy comes from poking fun at the oppressive powers that be, to make us feel better and to expose the power-structure for its unfairness. That's why anti-Obama videos won't be funny, they'll just seem cruel. But also, Obama's not that funny. He's a charismatic, calm, rational, thoughtful, compassionate man. Maybe if he had some funny characteristics like Clinton's sex drive, there might be something there to make some light-hearted comedy about. But there's not much to work with in that department. And his ideas and passions and goals, well, they're not funny. But they ARE inspirational and beautiful. Which I guess is a pretty nice trade-off. But in short... This is a comedy site. So, if you don't agree with a political viewpoint in a video, offer up a funny video expressing a different viewpoint. But leaving bitter, angry, hateful comments on the video? Well, all you're doing is further proving the point of the video - that Obama's opponents are bitter, angry, narrow-minded, racist, intolerant, hateful people. So go ahead. Prove us wrong.

Because of the truth is that Obama is a decent, well-meaning guy with smart, logical ideas, while McCain's ideas are self-serving and proven to be detrimental to the vast majority of people, and to all people with any kind of conscience and compassion for their fellow humans. It's not funny to hate people who are different, to take away human rights, to despoil our planet and to abandon the poor and less fortunate. If you're a sick bastard, you might enjoy laughing at that. But most people on this site aren't sick bastards. Funnyordie visitors are intelligent, thoughtful people who enjoy a good laugh at the cruel, deceitful, hate-mongering campaign that the Republicans are running...
