Joseph DuCreux was an 18th Century French artist who was know for creating rather interesting self-portraits that featured him in certainly, at the time, non traditional poses, sometimes even 'breaking the 4th wall' as in the case of the exploitable internet macro of him pointing at you.
This image was taken across several areas of the internet and given similar treatment to items like the Bayeux Tapestry and Advice Dog, wherein people would add catchphrases, quips, insults and more to the image.
In the case of Mr. DuCreux here, it became a game of adding rap lyrics and slang to the image, however using archaic terms to replace the more recognizable slang form.
I decided to have a little audio fun with them to spread the word on the fun of "Know Your Meme".
If you're not familiar with this meme, can you name the phrases being spouted?
I found this through the ridiculously fun site "Know Your Meme", a part of the group Rocketboom. Definitely check them, and "Know Your Meme" itself, out at the links below.
