The story of Paul Revere was originally a poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, but thankfully Sarah Palin has come forward to tell everyone the true story of his ride with bells on. Sarah Palin for President of History!

  • Hey maybe this all happened in that 57th state Obama was talking about?
  • Nice poem. . .
  • Im a Canadian and even I know that the story was conjured up by Palin and does not speak true to the real events that lead up to the American Revolution. I just find it funny that you guys go on and side with her that the media is purposely trying to make her look stupid. For God Sakes even FOX News the Gods of American right-wing media acknowledged that she was wrong. How much more do you want? And to Brian yes I did read a History Book and no thats not how it happened. Think about it, why would he warn the British before he warned the revolutionaries to move their weapons ( Their gunpowder etc) and people in preparation for the British advance and also to warn Hancock and Adams of the intent of the British to have them arrested. He only warned the British AFTER he had already been arrested. Honestly just think about it, Revere being the American Patriot that he was; why the hell would he warn the British of their advancement before even reaching the revolutionaries?
  • "It was also interesting to see that political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate. There's a lot of -- I don't know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing." --confusing German for "Austrian," a language which does not exist, Strasbourg, France, April 6, 2009
  • LOL!! "I'm here with the Girardo family here in St. Louis." --speaking via satellite to the Democratic National Convention, while in Kansas City, Missouri, Aug. 25, 2008
  • As read by the great Ray Wise...
  • "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It's the Post Office that's always having problems." –attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11, 2009
  • "But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." --Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010
  • If Barry were held to this standard of perfect grammar with every word he says on every topic, and this geeked up lefty posse reveled so much in his staggered thoughts, however right or wrong he is, these same useful idiots would have gone old school dixie on him and escorted him to the highest tree. Yeah, that's you, hypocrites. One step away from a posse of racist crackers.
  • Read it and weep, drooling, leftwing, democrat cultists!! A Boston University history professor told the Herald that Revere did indeed warn the British as well as the Americans earlier in his ride: Boston University history professor Brendan McConville said, “Basically when Paul Revere was stopped by the British, he did say to them, ‘Look, there is a mobilization going on that you’ll be confronting,’ and the British are aware as they’re marching down the countryside, they hear church bells ringing — she was right about that — and warning shots being fired. That’s accurate.”

  • Oh Dayum! Looks like the cult of the drooling democrats got PLAYED HARD AGAIN! LMFAO! • Brian...go home
  • The joke will be on you if you elect that woman as your President. We'll all die a little inside that day if it comes....
  • PEOPLE ---- are you serious? Who out of all of us were actually there that night in question when Paul Revere rode through town... now.. let me get to my other rhetoric, how are we for, without an absolute doubt that Sarah Palin wasnt there? This woman is amazing, not only does she have super-powered eyes to where she can see Russia from her house, but she also knew exactly what happened in history. I say, she could be the immorta superwoman, and look at how we're treating her.
  • Actually, Paul Revere didn't actually do... anything. The gentleman who did the ACTUAL ride had a name that would not fit as well into the poem, so they used Paul's instead. But all of this is quite moronic, anyway. WOW. I am slightly sad for U.S. History.
  • He actually said nothing to the British til he was captured, which is understandable since they had guns and he didn't. See attached from the Paul revere website in his own words. http://www.masshist.org/database/img-viewer.php?item_id=99&img_step=8&tpc=&pid=&mode=transcript&tpc=&pid=#page8
  • I really enjoy Ray Wise, big fan of Reaper and Chuck. I do know that the poem is comic effect, but it mangles the truth worse than Sarah Palin's attempt. You deserve to work with better material, Ray. I know Palin mangled the facts, though I think the intent was close to the truth. Revere did not really set out to warn the British, but basically made a statement to them after he was captured to the effect that things were going to happen. This happened AFTER the now famous ride. And its kind of stupid of her to call it gotcha journalism when the question was just, "What did you learn while here?". It's not like they asked for some obscure details. Paul Revere was not the sole messenger. But he set up the lantern signals (one by land - south, two by river - north) with the intent that others would then relay that information which is lot more efficient than just one guy doing it. Here is a link with some accurate details. http://www.revolutionary-war-and-beyond.com/paul-reveres-ride.html There are lots of legit ways to make Sarah look silly, you don't have to make stuff up, it just gives them something to use against you and diverts attention from useful information.
  • Guess what!? Another day and SARAH PALIN IS STILL RIGHT about REVERE, and the left wing clown posse is still wrong ;) Boston University history professor Brendan McConville said, “Basically when Paul Revere was stopped by the British, he did say to them, ‘Look, there is a mobilization going on that you’ll be confronting,’ and the British are aware as they’re marching down the countryside, they hear church bells ringing — she was right about that — and warning shots being fired.
