Paul Revere’s Ride

By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Sarah Palin, revised

Listen my children, Track and Trig, and you shall hear,

Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,

On the eighteenth of April, Seventy-Five,

Sometime after the dinosaurs’ demise,

Who remembers that famous day and year? I do. Well, lemme tell
ya ‘bout it…

He said to his friend, "If the British march By land or sea from the town
to-night,

Ring this bell, and make it sing,

“ring-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling,”

Shoot a couple-a warnin’ shots if by land, and a couple-a-warnin’ shots if
by sea,

And I, looking at Britain from my back yard will be

Ready to stop those British with their gotcha journalism,

From taking our arms, our freedom, and our nournalism,

That British Invasion, with their Beatles and Stones a Rollin’,

Lasted til the 60s when who was born? A patriot, Sarah Palin,

She took those bells and got on a bus,

Just travellin around - no big fuss,

To continue the tradition of Revere's wild ride,

Revvin' her hog, Todd at her side,

To warn all the terrorists, gays and science,

They can’t take our arms, well stand in defiance,

Oh darn, that was a pretty good rhyme,

I was worried I'd have to use the word 'giants' that time,

In Conclusion, the tradition that began with Paul Revere,

Who rode around spreadin’ that fear,

Continues with Sarah Palin, whose picked up his yell,

And has now turned herself into a human bell,

So remember my children, Trig and Track,

whenever a foreigner threatens to attack,

protect yourself, by going to SARAHPAC...
