Ben Baker is a mediocre person at a mediocre job with mediocre friends who he isn't even sure he likes. That being said, he's pretty much normal in every way.
All is well enough in his eyes that is, until a rather unexpected thing happens to him and everyone he knows. As the big "3-0" approaches, a "Quarter Life Crisis" begins to take hold.
In an attempt to enjoy the good times she's afraid she might miss, Ben's girlfriend leaves him rather abruptly, shattering Ben's happiness and sense of balance in the world. Next, his two closest friends, Tom and Joey, begin a slow descent into becoming losers for life as they hide indoors, playing video games and blaming the world for their own shortcomings.
One thing is for certain in this down-to-Earth comedy, and that's that there's no easy path toward getting older. Success and status seem to come at a great personal cost to one's self respect, while too much of the "good times" can be a sure-fire road to Loser Town.
"The Long, Slow Death of a Twenty-Something" takes us through a series of hilarious coming-of-age adventures and awkward mishaps as Ben races to find his sense of purpose in a world that is quickly passing him by. « less
