  • I know that I am not a minority or anything, but i don't see how this would discourage votes. Unless you are not a citizen, in which case you should not be voting.
  • It seems like common sense to me that we should be able to verify that people are who they say they are, and that they're not voting multiple times. Nothing to do with race or class.

  • Requiring photo ID to vote seems pretty common sense. I can't believe it's not already a law. If you'd pull your liberal head out of your liberal ass you might see the logic in it.

  • I don't understand why this is such a big deal - I am PROUD to show my ID, how many do you want? Military ID (although expired), Drivers License, Employee ID, credit card, debit card, American Legion Membership, Social Security, insurance, Walgreens or TruValue frequent shopper cards or even -gasp- my Voters Registration Card, issue by the State for FREE, (but never used). I'd even be HAPPY to show my Birth Certificate and Military form DD-214. How anyone can function in society today with out a form of picture ID is beyond me. I suppose that 12 bucks can be a make or break situation. Even a Bar can ask for up to 7 forms of ID - 3 with picture.... And this video was just another Democrat propaganda device, like most of the things I happen to stumble across here at "seldom-a-chuckle-or-die.com"

  • Yeah, I don't get it either, but maybe I'm in a "lucky state". We can register for early voting for everything, have our ballots mailed to us and send them back...and we're in AZ, specifically Maricopa/Phoenix area, which is heavily Republican. Maybe it's the amount of time allowed for people to meet new requirements in certain states/areas that's under fire? Who knows...we're both registered Republicans even though we are very candidate-based voters, and even the GOP didn't ask any questions when we moved here from TX and registered.

  • Just so anyone knows here is how simple it is to obtain an ID. Gather a High School year book with photo evidence that your face matches your name. Also a slip of mail sent to your address to prove you live where you do, so Netfilx package makes this really easy. To be extra safe have your birth certificate or if you can't find that a social security card. Also somewhere between $12-$25 dollars is required cash or debit card no checks. The reason why the money amount can very is because a photo ID is cheaper than a drivers license. Registering to vote has never been so easy just take your newly minted photo ID to the nearest voting ballot and tell them that you would like to register as a Republican, Democrat, or Independent. No race issues here, I think the Republicans are just trying to make sure that my great grandparents don't get registered by ACORN and vote for either candidate.

Some common places you MUST show an ID are: Grocery stores ( if you are using Credit Card ) Gas stations (when you are buying anything using Credit card) Liquor store.( Even if you do not buy and accompany with others) Dance Clubs and Bars Mail pick up from FedEx, UPS or any others Public Library (for getting library Card ) Casino (even if you do not play) Banks ( if you want to withdraw money or check balance) Airport Any stores where you buy using Credit Card. Fast Food places (if you use credit card) Restaurants (if you use credit card) Any corporate offices ( if you are visiting anyone, for Visitor ID) Coffee shops ( if you use credit card) Renting anything for outdoor Jet Skis, Boats, Canoe, etc Car Rentals ( You need Driver’s license for sure) Any theme parks like Disney, etc for rentals Any outdoor activity like Sky diving, Bunge Jumping, etc Government buildings So I ask... What the fuck is the big deal? I'm proud to show my ID. Most states give away FREE ID's and some say well... They just don't have a way to obtain it. Internet... Mail.... Drive.... I think funny or die should make a spoof about how ridiculous it is to NOT show an ID.

  • Not everybody has photo ID, Kevin. If you are 85 years old, and you don't drive anymore, or go anywhere but to church or the market without being driven. Or if you are a student, and ride the bus or your bike everywhere, you don't need it and probably don't have it. Gun permits are allowed, but not student ID. Isn't that weird? It's great that you are so proud of all of you ID's. But the voter fraud republicans claim is rampant...is virtually nonexistent. It's usually felons that thought enough time has past that they could vote again.The only fraud being committed is by the republican party. Voting is a Constitutional right, not a privilege like driving.
