This Year ‘s Comic-Con Cosplays That ‘ll Make You Wish You Could Sew

Whether you ‘re a fan of Marvel, DC, books like Harry Potter, or shows like Supernatural, there is one special event each year where you ‘re sure to belong: San Diego Comic-Con. Almost 50 years in the running, this mega-gathering of superfans has something for everyone. I ‘m sure that for the majority of those who attend, the most exciting parts of Comic-Con are getting to see their favorite actors, writers, and creators, and getting to be among the first group of people to hear exclusive new information or see teasers for new shows and movies. But for others, the highlights of the convention are all the absolutely insane costumes that people create.

Now, I ‘m no cosplayer, but I am kind of crafty. I grew up making my own Halloween costumes and doing my own makeup for school theatre. Not to toot my own horn, but I ‘m pretty talented when it comes to hot-gluing stuff to other stuff. I ‘m not saying I ‘m an authority on costume design, but you can trust me when I say that the costumes people craft for Comic-Con are NEXT. LEVEL. And if you didn ‘t get a chance to go to this year ‘s Comic-Con, here is your chance to look at some of the coolest cosplays and maybe get inspired to bust out your mom ‘s sewing machine and, I dunno, actually learn a skill. (Or you can be like me and just sit there saying stuff like “damn this person really created a whole-ass Marvel superhero suit and I can ‘t even sew a button back onto my pants ‘ to yourself as you scroll)
