As a preservice teacher, I am truly appalled by these videos and the positive feedback they have received. As a preservice teacher, I am truly appalled by these videos and the positive feedback they have received. Although I as an adult can understand a parody, developmentally a child at this age most likely does not. I do not see the humor in degrading others based on their sexual preferences, and religious views. Set your political opinions aside and take a look at the message we as a country are sending. We tend to think we are progressing towards a more equitable and accepting society for all, but it is things like this that reveal a more unsettling truth. Do not expect the future of America to be so bright, if we choose to exploit our children in such a manner. I am ashamed.
