Female Voiceover: Meet Alex and Jack, the
unlikeliest of best friends.
Female Voiceover: Jack hates the cold.
Alex lives for adventure.
Female Voiceover: Somehow Alex convinced Jack
against his better judgement
Female Voiceover: to travel with Greenpeace
to the frozen arctic.
Female Voiceover: It's a beautiful but
vulnerable landscape.
Female Voiceover: And who better to save it,
than celebrities.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: Ah, nature.
Jack McBrayer: I think I can make this work,
after I can find a nice
Jack McBrayer: piping hot cup of cocoa around
here somewhere.
Alexander Skarsgard: Yeah, but we're not going
stay here.
Alexander Skarsgard: We're going there.
Alexander Skarsgard: (Voiceover) And then 1200
miles north.
Alexander Skarsgard: And there's no time for
hot cocoa Jack.
Alexander Skarsgard: Come on.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: New Yorks bravest.
Jack McBrayer: Alex.
Alexander Skarsgard: Thank you for
your service.
Alexander Skarsgard: Thank you for
your service.
Alexander Skarsgard: Hey, nice to
meet you guys.
Jack McBrayer: We're safe right?
[inaudible]
Jack McBrayer: Lets all die
together.
Alexander Skarsgard: I look forward to
working with you.
Alexander Skarsgard: That's the captain.
Jack McBrayer: Yessir.
[music]
Jack McBrayer: Maybe I'll just try to
go to sleep now,
Jack McBrayer: and wake up and realize
this was all a dream.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: This is us
heading north.
Male Crew Member: Yeah, we'll probably
get down to around 80 degrees.
Jack McBrayer: Fahrenheit?
Male Crew Member: Uh, latitude.
Jack McBrayer: How far would it take
to get me back to my
Jack McBrayer: swimming pool in
Los Angeles?
Female Crew Member: That'll take quite a while.
Alexander Skarsgard: We're not going
further north than that?
Female Crew Member: No, no.
Alexander Skarsgard: Why not?
[Alex and the crew member speak in the background]
[cell phone typing]
Alexander Skarsgard: Uh-uh.
What are you doing?
Jack McBrayer: I was just checking
my Uber app to see if they
Jack McBrayer: have Uber boats here.
Alexander Skarsgard: No-no-no...
Jack McBrayer: I think it's surge pricing,
but it might be worth it.
Alexander Skarsgard: No. We're off the grid
now baby. No phone.
Alexander Skarsgard: No email.
Nothing.
Alexander Skarsgard: I'm the captain now.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: It's a quote from a
movie. So I'm not trying to take
Alexander Skarsgard: control of the ship or
anything. Okay?
[music]
Female Voiceover: The following day brought
even more thrills for Alex,
Female Voiceover: and more challenges
for Jack.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: Would it be possible to
ski this one?
Alexander Skarsgard: I was shooting this
action movie in Hollywood
Alexander Skarsgard: a couple of years ago.
I see my stunt double who's
Alexander Skarsgard: a big strong guy obviously--
Alexander Skarsgard: Come on.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: --as he's holding something
in his hand, and
Alexander Skarsgard: I'm like, "Is that styrofoam?"
Alexander Skarsgard: So I go up to him, and I'm
like, "Styrofoam is history.
Alexander Skarsgard: If you keep using it,
so are you."
Male Crew Member: You are so brave.
[music]
[ship horn]
[air whirling]
Jack McBrayer: Wait. Wait, Alex, Alex, Alex.
W-wait. Come on.
Alexander Skarsgard: What?
Jack McBrayer: I don't think I
can do this.
Jack McBrayer: This is definitely not
my cup of hot cocoa.
Alexander Skarsgard: I've been hearing a lot of
me, myself, and I
Alexander Skarsgard: from you lately Jack,
and frankly I'm not happy about it.
Alexander Skarsgard: This is not about you.
It's not even about me.
Alexander Skarsgard: It's about the future.
It's about our children.
Jack McBrayer: Our children.
Alexander Skarsgard: You know that pool
you have at your house in LA
Alexander Skarsgard: that you really love?
Jack McBrayer: Yeah.
Alexander Skarsgard: If this ice continues to
melt, it will be covered in water.
Jack McBrayer: Oh, okay.
Alexander Skarsgard: Arctic water!
Jack McBrayer: Oh no.
Alexander Skarsgard: Lets make a difference.
[music]
Female Voiceover: But it turns out, Alex
wasn't only there to help
Female Voiceover: the environment.
Alexander Skarsgard: Can I talk to you
for a second?
Cameraman: Uh, sure.
Alexander Skarsgard: Have you heard of
this guy, Ernest Shackleton?
Alexander Skarsgard: He was an explorer, and
went to the South Pole
Alexander Skarsgard: a 100 years ago.
The script, it's amazing.
Alexander Skarsgard: I was born to play this
part. I need this.
[inaudible]
Cameraman: Uh-huh.
Alexander Skarsgard: Yeah. [inaudible]
Cameraman: Which Leo is that?
Alexander Skarsgard: Leonardo Dicaprio.
Alexander Skarsgard: This is for me.
I am Shackleton.
Alexander Skarsgard: I want to just
make a sizzle reel,
Alexander Skarsgard: like a little sizzle reel
of me as Shackleton,
Alexander Skarsgard: so I can send it to the
producers, and really show them
Alexander Skarsgard: that I'm the guy.
I want something that sizzles so
Alexander Skarsgard: much that it will melt a
glacier out there. You know?
Alexander Skarsgard: So I was thinking when
we're out there doing the
Alexander Skarsgard: important work for the
environment, and all that
Alexander Skarsgard: maybe you and I can sneak
off, and get a little clip.
Jack McBrayer: Alex.
Alexander Skarsgard: Yeah.
Jack McBrayer: What's going on?
Alexander Skarsgard: I don't know.
What is going on?
Alexander Skarsgard: What is going on?
Jack McBrayer: Uh, well, I was just coming
to the aft which I recently
Jack McBrayer: learned means the rear
of the ship, to tell you that there's
Jack McBrayer: a beautiful sunset on the
starboard side of the ship,
Jack McBrayer: which I've come to learn
means right.
Alexander Skarsgard: Okay. So lets check it out.
[music]
Alexander Skarsgard: (Voiceover) I am Shackleton.
Female Voiceover: Visit GreenPeace.org, to learn
how you can help save the arctic.
e the arctic.
