According to my current bio: Much like the main character in his latest script, "The Storyteller", Robert Angelo Masciantonio has been writing since the age of eight. He continued his love of creativity through high school appearing in and stage managing theater productions. Robert studied film at Temple University where he won the Silver Reel Award for his short film, "Jerks". From there he went on to write, direct and executive produce the feature film, "Cold Hearts". The film had a theatrical run in Los Angeles and New York before hitting video and dvd to a world wide audience. Since it's release, "Cold Hearts" has become a cult favorite with fans turning out everywhere from Florida, Chicago and New York to show support at conventions such as Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors. "Cold Hearts" also won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Picture at the Atlantic City Film Festival. Robert has also written and directed three shorts for the 48 Hour Film Project. The second, "How 'bout This?", won several awards including the coveted Audience Award in Los Angeles. During the summer of '07, he directed the feature comedy "All Along" starring Krista Allen. Robert also serves as an associate professor at Drexel University, teaching screen writing. "The Storyteller" marks Robert's return to feature film where he once again melds the worlds of fantasy and reality. < less

This was our 2007 Philadelphia entry into the 48 Hour Film Project. In the Project, teams are given a specific character, a line of dialogue and a prop that must appear in their short. The genre is picked out of a hat on Friday and the team has until Sunday night to complete a 3-7 minute short including the items given. We pulled 'musical'. The prop was hand lotion. The line was "I did that the last time". And the character was 'Kara/Kevin O'Marra, Home Inspector'. This cut is three minutes longer than the one that we submitted for the Project. < less
