"Is she really hitting me?" Sorry, no she is not. What you see is a 'stage slap'. What you don't see is my right hand, which is out of frame, slapping my bare leg to simulate the sound of a slap. You might think that I have too much time on my hands to be teaching my daughter stage combat. But, she is a working actress here in NYC and as you can see takes direction well. She takes dance at Alvin Ailey, acting classes with Atlantic Theater Company, she is represented by Abrams Artists Agency and appears in many commercials and print. Her tax return was much larger than mine, but I am not jealous. So, there is much truth to the old saying "Don't try this at home, Folks, she is a trained professional"
