TEN MINUTE DECADE is a short comedic film written by and starring Laura Mannino and directed by Sarah Gurfield.
A woman stumbles through her twenties and struggles to reach all the right milestones before she turns 30. After ten years of missing her own self-imposed deadlines she learns that maybe it's okay to not have what she's supposed to want. Ten years in ten minutes. Basically.
Laura won "Best Actress in a Short Film" from the 2012 Sunset Film Festival. TEN MINUTE DECADE was one of the evening's winners at the Hammer Museum Open Projector Night hosted by the Sklar Brothers. Other screenings include the 2011 Big Apple Film Festival, Fall 2011 Los Angeles Film and Script Festival, Nitehawk Cinema Short Film Exhibition, 2012 Beverly Hills Shorts Festival, Flappers New Media Festival, HollyShorts Screening Series, Spring 2012 New Filmmakers New York Screening Series, the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival, and the Eagle Rock Comedy Festival.
Laura Mannino is a LA-based stand-up comedian from New York. She hosts the stand-up show, CAT VIDEO and performs with the improv and sketch team, POTION.
Laura graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA Honors and studied drama at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School and the Meisner Extension. Laura is also a graduate of Upright Citizens Brigade's Training Center in Los Angeles (UCB).
NY and LA stand-up appearances include include Rififi, Galapagos, Mo Pitkin's, Ochi's Lounge, The PIT, Magnet Theatre, The Duplex, Sin Sin, Parkside Lounge, Slipper Room, Darryl Roth Theatre, Triad Theatre, Carolines on Broadway, Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club, StandUp NY, Comix Comedy Club, the Laugh Lounge, the Westside Comedy Theater, The Little Modern, The Palace, Echoes Under Sunset, El Cid, Akbar, Room 5, M Bar, The Virgil, The Clubhouse, Underground Theater, The Middle Theater, bang!, Hayworth Theater, Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, The Ice House, Downtown Comedy Club, and Flappers Comedy Club.
