Seriously though, these are meant to be comedy skits. Here in the South, we are blessed to hear a variety of southern accents, from demure to outrageous. I appreciate you watching, and hope you will watch the complete series as it unfolds!
Thanks again “y’all” for watchin’!

Hey Sharon…I’m looking forward to your next group of videos. My comments were in response to another person saying the accents were “stupid.” Apparently I didn’t state my position very well…I have no problems with them…in fact I LOVE em’

Rizzie, I hope you never hear me talk you would think I was faking this South Carolina/Georgia accent I have. I love Dottie and her accent is not unlike some of my friends. I am not a dialect expert but believe me, my accent would probably confuse such an expert. The lady that wrote these scripts must be from the South because they are true to the deep South. Not the City folk but the country folk. :-) I feel like I know Roy Ray and Dottie. Very funny stuff!
Dottie’s accent is getting comments. I love it. I’m the writer and yep…I definitely grew up in the South in a small country town. Dottie’s accent is more North Carolina than North Florida, but hey, the South’s the South, right. So happy folks are responding to our mad cast of characters. Wait ‘till you see what happens in the next webisode called Dances With Dawgs. I’ll upload that next Monday. Keep on watching!
Opps…I clicked Post Reply without posting a reply. Such is life in Panther County. I wanted to said I appreciate all comments and totally understood yours, Rizzie and Artemis, to be positive and delightful. I hope Dottie will chime in some time soon. More soon.

HELP…HELP…HELP…I think I’m being misunderstood….I LIKED/LOVED DOTTIE and all the rest of the folks. I was not criticising the accent(s.) Although I don’t have a well-tuned ear for perfect accents I do know what makes me smile/laugh…this stuff does. Trust this will make more sense…but don’t count on it..I’m a damn Yahnkee ;-)

Do you mean like “Mayberry” stupid or “Beverly Hillbillies” stupid or “Gomer Pyle” stupid? Seriously, it only sounds/is stupid when it is performed for a serious role. This is commedy/satire and it works. BTW..the same could be said for “Fargo” and the people trying to immitate the folks up there. I lived most of my life in that area and I never ran into... more >
