Well I disagree with Sean Connery, I reckon you should use a close fist not an open hand.

The female mind filter that distorts everything that is said occasionally gets stuck on retarded. Sure there are kinder, less efficient ways of getting things back on track but ol' Sean here has history's most tried and true method, quick and effective.

With energy costs soaring, it's this kind of operating efficiency we have to hold up as a mod

Didn't see him squrm. Saw him think over his reply and give an intelligent response.

However, I'd love to see him squirm ... except he's married to someone else!

Actually, it only hurts to be slapped, if the person is acting in rage or fear. If they are doing it just for the sake of correction, it's not painful - just a bit shocking.

And, it takes a real loving, caring person to do that- because it's not about wanting to hurt someone or treating someone as if they are less than you - it's about stopping things in their tracks before the relationship deteriorates to endless bouts of petty bickering and divorce.

Yes, well, as a lady who has seen women do that sort of thing over and over again - because they knew the man couldn't legally fight back - I have to agree with him. If the woman is being verbally or mentally or emotionally abusive, it's okay to slap her - not hard, not to damage, but, just enough to catch her attention and let her know she is not getting away with it. And, that is the only kind of cirumstance, outside of self defense, when it is alright. And, it's alright for women to do the same, under the same circumstances.

Why do people think it's alright to be mentally abusive and it's so much better to get in a yelling match, than to end it decisively with a quick, small slap or spanking or somethng?

Sean Connery is a real man who really knows how to handle women who want to be women!

i'm not going to bother trying to explain to a dumb person what "equal rights" does mean. that would be a pointless endeavor.
what i will say is this: men are physically stronger than women (in most instances), and any man who feels he has the right to hit/slap a woman, that there is absolutely nothing wrong with hitting/slapping someone who isn't any where near his level strength is a coward piece of sh*t, who i bet would never have the nerve to hit/slap a man larger/stronger than himself.
f*ck off.

Are we forgetting that women who are physically abused usually won't come out in the open and admit that their significant others are abusive for fear of being violently reprimanded in private? Of course we would not have heard of a complaint from Sean Connery's wife.
