  • FONDATION Étoile Star of Hope for the Children (S.H C) # 66 jacquet Toto prolongée, Delmas 95 Tels : (509) 31-54-40-10/ 31-14-60-99 Email: fondationetoile@yahoo.fr Introduction: Jacquet is one of the areas found in the town Delmas. The main crop is trade and the other secondary and sectiary like services, communications are highly neglected. Schooling at jacquet: The situation is really bad, Haïti is a underdevelopped country very poor sinking further into poverty. We unfortunately notice, in the recent years that poor people becoming poorer. Concerning orphaned children or sons of poor parents, going to school is a luxury, a daily battle requiring lots of sacrifices. In the town of Delmas, there are few public schools. However, during the last census conducted by Mr. St-Bon Nathanael and Mr. Augustin Getrop, in the block, despite of those schools, we have recorded more than one hundred children and adolescents from 3-14 years old who never go to school and stay in a bad condition. The reason is both due to the absenteeism and extreme poverty, in most cases. Lack of education and training, there are also a number of unwanted pregnency giving birth to children without fathers and unprepared marriage. Their financial difficulties can provide them just surviving food but can’t afford to sent the children to school. For all these underprivileged children, what an open door for illiteracy and crime ! Projects : The main purpose of the Star Foundation is making life more accessible to the greatest number of children in Haiti which aims to combat illiteracy and crime through education. In the field, our Foundation is represented by Mr. St-Bon Nathanael, Augustin Getrop, Mr. Henrysme Jean Emmanuel and Ms.Gaston Gartiana. Together Ms Alerte Guerson we founded the Foundation located at # 66 jacquet Toto prolongée, Delmas 95 where we host about 60 children. Thousands of Haitian children have no access to education, good nutrition or lack of means. These children growing up in a chaotic situation represents a danger to the society today and tomorrow. We are concerned by this scourge that is ravaging our country for years. After the earthquake of January 12, 2010, many children became orphaned and remain in the streets without ever attending a school center. That's why we decided to act as soon as possible while putting in place a draft nursing home where children may have the right to housing, education and nutrition. Specifically we are looking for funds to found a school, having a school canteen, a recreation center and facilities for shelter. Research partnership : The Star Foundation is working very actively seeking funds to sustain the project nursing home. We need sponsors, Donors, Pastors and all of citizens who offer their supports both economic, moral and material for proper supervision of these children which are the future of the country. In Haiti, there are many possibilities so the need is present. But the Foundation is sorely lacking resources to offer to the disadvantaged children a life of hope. We are looking for now financial support to buy more beds, desks, tables, chairs, nutritions products and school supplies Beneficiaries : We already have 70 children in the local where we begin to feed and educate them. To continue, we are still looking for chatter partners. Nous comptons sur le soutien des ONG, du gouvernement de tous les citoyens qui offrent leurs appuis économiques et matériels pour une réussite certaine des projets. Here are the following names of people who are in the administration and management of the Foundation : Mr. /Mrs. : St-bon Nathanaël, Getrop Augustin, Belarbe Audy, Gartiana Gaston, Henrysme Emmanuel, Alexander Etienne, Germain Wilsaint, Gergenson D’as ,Guerson Michel. Further, there are many children who arrive at school with hungry. So how can they get profits of education in that case ? We commit ourselves ardently so that each child may have three (3) meals a day. The creation and developement of Star Foundation should be taken as an encouragement concerning the economic and social development of the community of Delmas. We have the following objectives : • Fight illiteracy and crime by creating a primary school and an avocational Training center. • Found a Christian Church, CFC( Church For Children), so as to teach them chritian virtues and good manners. • Open a shelter named Star of Hope for the Children. • Equip the center with any kind of equipment necessary to the intellectual, spiritual and cultural development. • Give the children three (3) meals a day. We plan to develop other measures to combat illiteracy, crime and poverty in other departments. Currently thanks to the mobilization made by the Foundation, two local are made available for the shelter. Every man according as he purposes in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver. Thus it is more blessed to give than to receive. ( 2 conrinthians 9 :7)
