This issue is not highlighted enough. When a man discusses this with his freinds/colleagues he maybe regarded as being weak. When actually he is restraining himself from physically retaliating, if he did, then the law would side with the woman, no matter who battered each other first. This depicts a young couple. The young man should get advice from a student councellor or discuss the matter with a welfare worker. I am not qualified to say this, but he should get out now, otherwise, he might retaliate and find the law will not sympathise with him. I am 41 and my girlfreind is in her early 50s. She is so obsessed with me, she uses aggression to keep me from going out and having a life. Whenever I do something independently she breaks down with ‘oh you leave me so alone’. This problem, as we get older and live with people, depending on each others incomes to sustain the high expense of life, becomes more and more difficult to escape from. So incarcerated I don’t go out, and if I take her out, she creates a scene if another woman compliments me. I wish I had the talent of this U Tube presentation to highlight this issue. Well done. I feel better for knowing I am not alone.
