  • #1 Not Funny remotely, #2 Calling someone out for making money went out a long time ago. You are supposed to make the most amount of money that you can. Look up his concert clips on ytube. His talent speaks for itself. Im a big fan of this site but i am kinda annoyed that they would devote server space for something so completely worthless.   • Skrillex DID kill dubstep. In fact American and Canadian dubstep producers almost did, but Skrillex was that last nail in the coffin. Over here in the UK, dubstep isn't so much respected anymore due to the US influence, with some producers leaning in that direction. Genres don't die out if there is clear progression. If you maximalise everything the sound has gone as far as it can go sonically, and what is there left afterwards? Pondering on what dubstep was once, that's what. And I can honestly say those who like Skrillex like a different type of music entirely, and it's not really dubstep - I can't hear a garage, grime, 2-step or techno influence, all I can hear is some kind of obscure imitation of the bass sounds. Try going to South London 5 or 6 years ago, or even a decade. Try DMZ, Horsepower, Shackleton, Kode9, early Benga and Skream. Then throw your Skrillex CD away (or let's be honest, delete it from iTunes) and move on.

  • Ok, so Skrillex isn't Dubstep but is labelled as such. Now all you haters, link us your some of your work and let us critique your pathetic music creation skills. I guarantee that less than .5% of you have any skill what-so-ever. If you don't like Skrillex, don't listen to him. That goes for any music. Most of these clowns that are here hating are wannabe musicians anyways. Keep tryin', Skrillex is laughing all the way to the bank.
