2001 Ithaca Heavyweight Title Match: California Crusher vs. Sgt. Striker

Description: WOOOOOOO! This is the one that started a tradition. This is the main card from the 2001 Ithaca Wrestlefest. Sgt. Striker was the defending champion, the Crusher was the challenger. Striker put up a good fight, especially when he countered one the Crusher's signature moves, the figure four leg lock. The 'New Nature Boy' fought through it with determination & focus. While Striker had an impressive arm going at the end of the match, he left his back exposed. At the right moment, just when the fans start cheering it up foe the Crusher, he capitalizes on the exposed area with a jab to the kidneys. This caused a shock through Striker's vital organs & he was down for the count. And the new champion was crowned victorious in the ring & celebrated the only way he new how, by strutting & downing a 40oz.
