Join Gay in the UK (with Ryan, Tim and the nameless cameraman) as they crawl/clamber/stagger across London to find the hippest gay bars. Travelling from North (West Hampstead) to South (Greenwich) the boys take in some history, current events, landmark sites and just a wee bit of alcohol. The bars we visited were:
King William IV (West Hampstead)
New Bloomsbury Set (Russel Square)
Halfway to Heaven (Trafalgar Square)
Retro Bar (The Strand)
Rose and Crown (Greenwich)
Enjoy chats with bar managers (we particularly "enjoyed" Alejandro of NBS), punters and performers - including the launch of Dean Atta's new album "Missing Piece"! Plus we celebrate Same Sex Hand Holding with a loving hand in hand stroll along The strand in the company of SSHH founder David Watkins. In another part of London, and contrasting greatly from our big love-in was the Protest the Pope demonstration. We speak to Adrian Tippets about why Pope Benedict is not welcome in the UK.
Will Ryan manage to keep his cool as they fall behind schedule? Will Tim manage to put both arms into his coat? Watch this episode to find out!
