This is a parody, an edited version of some of the entries into the 2013 "Volicon it!" contest. The contest was for entrants to come up with a witty way to use the phrase "Volicon it!" in short film up to two minutes.
There were some good entries, but Volicon decided to award one guy two of the four prizes and apparently threw darts at a board to select the others (unconfirmed).
What was amazing was how many entrants used death and mayhem for their entries. What's even more amazing is that Volicon chose what appears to be a guy torturing/beating up another guy, asking "WHAT IS VOLICON?" as a winner in their contest.
Another winner chosen by Volicon has literal beastiality in it. A cowboy is sad that his horse is dying. A man appears with a magic potion which revives the horse. The cowboy drinks the potion, turns into a horse and then the horse and now horse-man make out- The End.
Another group of kids thought it would best to have their entry feature a group of kids shooting another group of kids at what appears to be a high school. What a way to sell a product!
Lastly, a group of African Americans thought that it would be best to incorporate Volicon into a murder mystery where a dvd of Volicon would be used as a distraction, while a man with a white mask snuck behind various African Americans in their homes, and brutally murdered them. The 'sketch' ends with a shot of a bunch of bound and murdered African Americans jammed into a closet. What product, such as Volicon, WOULDN'T want to be associated with a closet full of dead black people?! Once again, that entry was made by African Americans.
One can only assume that given this year's entries, that next year's "Volicon it" contest will feature the comic stylings of Pol Pot? Or perhaps it will be based around Mao's purge of the educated during the cultural revolution in China? Or maybe set during the aftermath of the Seige of Leningrad? « less
