  • I'm a lifelong southerner who is not wild about stereotyping southerners as rednecks. That said, this weekend my wife and I went to the Loris South Carolinal "Bog Off." A chicken bog, or some call it Perlow, consist of a pot of rice, chicken and sausage all cooked together. Prizes are given for the best bog. Unfortunately, the two rednecks featured here were not that off the mark from some of the visitors I saw at the festival. One example that made my wife and I howl occurred as we walked around looking at vintage automobiles displayed for festival goers. We noticed a Honey Boo Boo like child was tugging at her mother repeatedly saying, Mama.....Mama....Mama!! The mother finally turned to her daughter and yelled....Would you jes' shed up!!
