  • I used to work in a bar and grill that had all you can eat fish and chips and there was a guy that was 5'8 and 400lbs that would come in and eat half a case of cod...that’s 5lbs. plus chowder. Plus fries... plus slaw... and we were not allowed to cut him off...he even broke two chairs in our dining room....on rib nights he would demand we make him ribs with less sauce because the sauce was too filling... people have eating problems and they need help and sad to say buffets and all you can eat specials are their ultimate fix. I don't know where this idea of all you can eat came from... Especially on buffets... a traditional buffet isn’t a gorge yourself extravaganza... but we as Americans have this idea that everything needs to be bigger to be better. More food better prices. We put an emphasis on consumption, but not if you’re a morbidly obese man who is going to drive down the profit margin you can’t cut someone off if you say all you can eat... Even if you are running out
