When I was a kid science fiction movies were shown on a giant makeshift screen in the middle of my towns square every friday night at midnight. The town folks encouraged all the little kids as young as 3 and 4 years old to venture into the square at midnight to watch the movies. needless to say this was a very rowdy and drinking town and many of the patrons of the various drinking establishments in the square would often stumble out into the streets. Drunks in our town were very respectful and mindful of the kids as they made their way to town to watch films like "the blob" and "it came from outer space" The problem was that the Drunks unsteady on their feet from many drinks would often step on little kids hands and crush the tiny fingers. When the Mayors kid got his little hand crushed by a drunk the Mayor formed a group with the soccer and baseball moms and got enough citizens to have a powerful voting block. they closed the bars. Soon after the movie company that put on the science fiction movies packed up and left town. This is a poem about that. It is Entitled "brohm in person"
