When first embarking on my first trip round the world i developed a tremendous fear of travel the night before I left. It was alas too late to get a refund for my ticket and i had purchased too much sweet gear to turn back now. Afraid as I was i found an old lexwood mini typewriter in the captains quarters and immediately began to write a novel about a shipwreck. As I lay on the guest bed our first night at sea Captain Federico Bolivar woke me from a very rocky slumber. He pound on my chest weeping with the pages from my novel . Captain Bolivar screamed! and Cried! and finally collapsed on the ground in our cabin. Needless to say I was astounded! I begged Captain Bolivar to Palaver with me and tell me what was wrong. Yet he would not. he ran out the door and up to the deck. As I followed he took off his captain suit and captain hat and threw them at me! I was Astonished! He turned to me and warned me not to come any closer. I stopped drenched in fear! He told me he had read the few pages from my sea novel that i had started on his type writer. He confessed to me that he too was a writer. He threw his sea badge at me and I caught it with out even really trying, he was amazed! He said that he would jump over board because he was not worthy to be in the presences of such talent and that he wanted me to be the ships captain. The fool did what he said and jumped. The coast guard finally rescued us 21 days latter. I haven't been on a boat again. This is a poem about that.
