  • Like many movies, there are "holes", but unlike many movies, the writers didn't dumb down the writing to explain everything everyone did (through conversations that would not have really happened). Many of the unexplained behavior made sense after a couple of more watches and you had a better idea of the characters' motivations. You can read some good to very good comments on the internet on possible reasons for many of the seemingly idiotic behavior. Of course, only the writers (and Ridley?) know for sure. And, by the way, directors don't ALWAYS get to control how the writing goes, word for word and detail for detail. People are jumping Ridley for the writing, but maybe he had very little control over it?
  • 'Prometheus' was a huge letdown, with an interesting concept, but shoddy execution. No characters you can relate to, more plot holes then plot and unexplained character motivation or a proper back story littered with Christian propaganda, I hope Scott's next movie will be more along the lines of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner' than 'Prometheus'.
  • When one experiences a work of fiction or art does everything have to make sense and be perfectly logical? STFU and enjoy the movie.
