Hi, I watched this video and I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this website’s mistruths! Hi, After watching it, it was clear to me that funnyordie has a very serious lack of knowledge about Schizophrenia.

First, schizophrenia is NOT split personalities – are these people living under a rock? That’s a stone age tale, it’s NOT split personalities. They are split from reality, but there are not 2 different personalities!

Secondly, schizophrenics are not violent. Alcohol usage alone causes more crime per year than schizophrenics cause in decades. At the least, have you not watched Beautiful mind? That’s not 2 personalities portrayed, it’s a man who hears and sees things that aren’t there when extremely stressed and off medication.

So, all in all, the sketch is only slightly annoying, in the fact it just makes the actor and producer look freaking stupid, like they are uneducated goons making clips about something that makes no sense at all to people who know what schizophrenia is.

If you actually think they’d put something like that on regular TV, with lack of correct facts and making fun of a serious mental illness – hahahaha – yeah, not going to happen, it’ll be stuck on that website for ever. It’ll eventually die off there.

I mean, why aren’t don’t making funny films on people who have heart problems? Or people with depression? Why would you pick that condition? It just seems cruel to pick on people with a condition that they can’t help. No one chooses to have schizophrenia. What don’t you make fun of the fat guy who has a clogged heart because he chooses to eat like crap and not exercises – It justs seems like it would be funnier to make fun of a fat ass who COULD improve thier health if they wanted to, instead of someone with a condition they did not cause due to pure laziness.

Also, the term “schizo” is very offensive to people who have the condition….kinda rude,like using racial slurs. Get it?

If you wanted to make it funny, use the actual symptoms and do a sketch on that. I’m not offended that you made sketches about it, rather, I’m offended that the facts aren’t straight -* so by doing this, you further ignite the general publics’ stupidity in thinking that 1. schizo is an ok term to use. 2. That its two personalities, 3. that schizophrenics are dangerous. and 4. it’s ok to make fun of someone like that.*

My husband is schizophrenic – and let me tell you, it’s not funny when it happens.

Do some homework, redo the sketch and try again – cause it sucks as is now, it makes no sense when it’s littered full of mistruths!

And more more little fact – 95% of crime is committed by people who have no mental illness history – and the few that are schizophrenic and kill people are usually in the mind , believing, they are protecting them self, family or country from harm.

Please don’t support this video. Please find some decency and at LEAST remove the statement that says most people with this condition are violent.
