Its because their are cases out their where people actually have addictions to sleeping with a hair dryer running beside them while they sleep. Some people find it comforting and soothing to the body,but obvious it is quite dangers due to potential burns not too mention weird... look it up. they did a television show on this type of thing on TLC.
