A video-portrait of actor Peter Elliot, a specialist in imitating apes who worked on movies such as 'Gorillas in the Myst' and 'Greystoke'. It is also a self-portrait of sorts, a humorous take on the 'artist in the studio' videos of the 60s and 70s. The title refers to how Elliot defines his 'state of perception' while performing. Shot in the year 2000 during my postgraduate studies in Visual Arts at Goldsmiths College, London.
