The cast was paid in beer, and we couldn't afford that. it is based loosely on the time i spent as a furniture-mover in Philly with Mambo Movers and with Tonka Moving, where I would often comment that "movers are the modern-day pirates, only we take peoples shit THEN we give it back..." or "damn, moving this sofa-bed in the lightning storm up the outside fire escape, sure reminds me of Moby Dick..." but seriously - It was a terrific time on the set.
