Preview of a Gay Satire about AIDS (09:17)A 9 minute preview of a dark comedy about AIDS. The entire film can be watched now at Amazon Unbox (http://curio.us/mrd). The DVD is available from Amazon.com (http://curio.us/mrh). After 25 years of AIDS propaganda, one movie finally dares to tell the truth. And it's a comedy! This bold, uncompromising film is based on one of the best collections of gay fiction in our time. In the tradition of the great underground films, "The Last Lovers on Earth" uses humor and satire to speak truth to power. The film presents three hilarious and outrageous stories about gay characters trapped in one of the worst medical and political catastrophes of our times. The stories focus on a gay man who nobody would love until he got very sick, an AIDS activist who turned AIDS into a deadly three-ring circus, and a gay couple who survive the AIDS epidemic by not following the directions of the AIDS activists and the gay leaders. These people have seen the entire film: "Intensely cerebral. Intensely clever. Intensely funny." --Valendar F. Turner, the Perth Group "Every element of the film is first-rate." --John Lauritsen, Author of "The AIDS War" "The movie is a profound and funny look into the abyss that AIDS has become." --Jonathan Campbell, Medical Writer "This digital production makes an important start in the use of theatre to deconstruct the evil edifice of AIDS orthodoxy." --Joan Shenton, Meditel Productions " . . .a futuristic nightmare that is by turns exasperating, shocking, poignant, and even gravely funny." --Celia Farber, Author of "Serious Adverse Events: An Uncensored History of AIDS" "If the AIDS establishment has a hit list, this film is at the top of the list." --James D'Eramo, Medical Writer and Journalist (more)Added about 10 months ago From rubiconmedia Views: 114 | Comments: 1 |

With or Without Clinton (04:43)So, "With or Without You," by U2, is one of my favorite songs, and Barack Obama is one of my favorite people. I was toying around one morning, and arranged an orchestral version of this song that I was really pleased with, using Sony Acid and IK Multimediaa's Philharmonik. After listening to it for a few days it occurred to me that it sounded a lot like some of the arrangements of popular songs that were used on the "Moulin Rouge" soundtrack, one of my favorite soundtracks. This made me think about adding a vocal arrangement to make it sound even more like it was part of a musical. I told Leneia what I was up to, and suggested that we make it a duet. A couple of days later we were recording in our home 'studio' and I just got this vision stuck in my head of Obama and Clinton singing the words to each other. The more I considered the random absurdity of it, the more obvious it became that I had to create this video. The resulting clip was produced using Sony Vegas for the edits and audio mixing and Reallusion's CrazyTalk for the mouth animations. Does this vid mean that I'm a fan of an Obama/Clinton ticket? I f you asked me at the beginning of this race, just to find the democratic nominee, I would have given you an emphatic, "Yes!" However, I must admit that after all that's been said and done, I wouldn't be as happy with it as I'd like. Still, I think the ticket that stands the greatest chance of winning in a general election would be an Obama/Clinton ticket. JUST PUT BARACK ON TOP, and let him do all of the work!
