Sam Locke was born and raised in Rockwood, Tennessee. Raised by Jim and Jan Locke, along with his older brother Jimmy, Sam grew up in the small town, attending Ridgeview Elementary, Rockwood Middle and Rockwood High Schools. He began playing mandolin, at age 7, under the tutelage of David Neidig. Upon seeing the original Pink Panther, Sam became interested in acting, and impressions. After graduating high school, he attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Tennessee, for one year studying acting, before deciding to return home, and trying his hand in radio, at the local station 105.7 fm WOFE, writing, producing, and acting in commercials and the stations morning show. In 2004, Sam moved to Chicago, and began taking classes at the Second City. Soon after, Sam took classes at the Annoyance Theater in Chicago. Sam has since performed at the theater, in several shows, including two revivals of Splatter Theatre, Stop That Show, The Sam Show A Night of Mandolin happiness and Others, Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. Under the musical direction of Tony Mendoza, Sam also assisted in supplying music for the cannibal musical "Arm Soup". More recently, Sam has begun trying his hand at stand up antihumor.
