Ric Schnupp is an award-winning audio engineer / mixer based out of the New York City area. On any given week, he can be found mixing an album for the next breakout pop artist, sound designing a feature film, or manning a Pro Tools rig for The Today Show. Some albums that Ric has worked on include The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Across the Universe, Kanye West's Graduation, and Patti Scialfa's Play It As It Lays. Ric's partner is composer/arranger Darien Scott Shulman. Together they work to provide custom music and audio engineering services for films, TV shows, commercials and recording artists. In 2010, Ric and Darien formed Particle Boys - a musical collaboration focusing on producing dance remixes. Darien seamlessly incorporates traditional musical technique with contemporary popular styles, while Ric applies his impeccable ears and fine-tuned mixing techniques, ensuring that each Particle Boys project is consistently on the cutting edge of the latest stylistic trends in popular and electronic music. When he’s not in the studio, Ric spends his time as a traveling Pro Tools Engineer, recording some of the most amazing live acts of our time, including Bernard "Pretty" Purdie- one of the most famous session drummers in music history- appearing on albums by Charles Kynard, Grant Green, Arethra Franklin, James Brown, Steely Dan, and Miles Davis, to name a few. Few partnerships in the music business today are as prolific and diversified as Ric and Darien’s - a true reflection of the changing face of the entertainment business.
