Yes Jefferson was a Diest but he didn't believe in separation of church & State. Again, that is why he had the GOVERNMENT PAY FOR CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES. which was my point that you were not smart enough to see. The Everson v. Board of Education was made in 1948 not by the founding fathers. it was made by a GOD-HATING court who thought that they (Like all you brainless liberals)could rewrite what the Founding Fathers said. What they said was simple. There should be no Church of America & they Government should never be allowed to tell Churches what to do. It was a separation of State from over ruling the Church & gave the Churches all the rights but you God-hating Liberal morons have tried to turn it into a "Church has no rights" law. That is why you liberals need to move to France where the rest of your kink fester & leave America in the hands of the the God lovers like the founding fathers designed - after all every state in 1776 had laws that stated that only people that believed in God could hold office. but then again, any one that reads a real history book knows that - to bad you & the Daily show never picked up a book

You're really the one who needs to pick up a book; a history book perhaps. You do know that Jefferson was a deist who only believed in a supreme being and not the divinity of Christ or even the bible? He, in the way that many do today, relied on reason and rational thinking. Thats why he supported the following taken from the First Amendment (You know, the official U.S. Document): "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." Does the government have any involvement in a specific church? Do we as a nation have an official religion? If you need more convincing read what the Supreme Court ruled in Everson v. Board of Education of Ewing Twp. Oh and if you want someone to take you seriously perhaps you should brush up on your grammar.

BTW the old "Separation of church and state" crap is just liberal fiction. It is no were in any official US Document. It is in one letter by Jefferson - you know the man who in his first year as Prez made the government pay for Christian missionaries to the Indians & who used to attend CHURCH in the chambers of the Congress. Who also wrote the Jefferson Bible - not to dis the Bible as the liberal God-haters falsely claim but to record all of the sayings of Jesus so the Missionaries that worked for the US Government could use it to witness to the Indians. - Try reading a book now & then instead of getting all your brainwashing from MTV & the Daily show
