ACTOR/COMEDIAN/ MUSICIAN AND WRITER , Rey Melara ??? got his start at an early age when he appeared on one of his grandfather's milk commercials at the age of 5. Acting in school plays, Rey found that acting was a calling for him. At the age of 18 he appeared in his first feature, "Almas de la Media Noche". The first film honduran film ever presented on honduran movie theatres. He was very active in honduran theatre, specially with "De La Farandula" Theatre company. He starred in two of it's most successful plays. "Horas Extras" and "TAXI". He won an EXTRA entertainment award for "Horas Extras" for best supporting theatre actor in 2002. During early twenties, he felt that he needed to branch out and follow a different calling and became a diplomat for the Embassy of Honduras in Berlin, Germany. But he could never deny what he loved to do and did theatre and Stand up comedy in Berlin for 6 years. Living a double life one might say, Rey worked in an Embassy by day and performed the Improv shows and Stand Up Clubs by night. He acted in several plays at "The English Theatre" in Berlin. Along with Paul Salamone, He created and Co-starred in Comedy in S.I.N., Berlin's most popular and groundbreaking English language comedy show in Berlin. A show that has opened doors for many English Speaking performers in Germany. Rey Melara receives praise for his roles and has gone on to win acclaim for his ability to appear almost unrecognizable from from project to project . He co-created and starred in "The Supernaturals". A Berlin-based comedy troupe.
