All you have to do is create a 3-minute long spoof of any film from the list below. Keep it PG rated and very hilarious, and you could be headed to Los Angeles with a friend to attend the awards and leave with a coveted golden bucket! We'll also give you a supercool Flip Video camera to record your moment in the sun.
Finalists will be featured on MTV.com for users to vote and the most popular will be the winner of the 2008 MTV Spoof Award, given live on stage!
Entries are judged by a panel of Funny or Die staff using this criteria:

what you need to know:
The contest is open for entries on April 16th and closes May 18th.
You must be a member of Funny or Die to enter. Click "join" at the top of this page--it's easy and free.
You must be over 16 years old.
Contestants cannot submit to multiple MTV partner sites--if you upload your spoof to Funny or Die, don't upload it anywhere else.
No copyrighted or unoriginal work without clearances (this includes music). Please keep your original source file on hand.
3 minutes maximum length.
Once your entry has been accepted, we'll be sending you a followup email to get details like your full name, date of birth, mailing address, credits for your video, artist names, and Pump Audio track IDs.
One finalist from Funny or Die will be flown to Los Angeles to attend the 2008 MTV Movie Awards and will also receive the new Flip Video Camcorder as well as their shot at winning an MTV Movie Award during the show's live broadcast on Sunday, June 1st.
