Y'know, my point was that you didn't know all the facts, not that I need help. I wasn't being immature, I'm simply trying to calmly, without losing my temper, point out another point of view. And, I admit, I am losing my temper, and being a bit irrational. But, I am NOT being immature. I study psychology, just as an extracurricular thing, but to me it seems like you suffer from Narcissism, with some severe idiocy mixed in.
Try thinking from my point of view: some of my closest friends are gay, some are straight, and I want all of them to be able to get married and be happy. Right now, I know that it is unlikely. But, I hope that in the future, they will have their chance.
Did you know that Gregory Maguire, a highly successful author, is married to Andy Newman, an equally successful artist, and that they have adopted three kids? Their kids are perfectly normal. So, clearly, two men can raise children just as well as a man and a woman. Besides, there are so many children who are just tossed aside, that why do we need to create more? Why not care for the ones that are already here? So, your comments on how mothers are so disappointed they don't have grandchildren: completely useless. The use of a surrogate and in vitro fertilisation could be used, or they could always adopt.

Spoiled? Ignorant? Do you kow anything about my life? I was never a child. I grew up in a traditional home, with a dad who hated me, and constantly worked, a mother who drank more than necessary, and four younger siblings who tormented me, even as I took care of them. So, I am NOT an ignorant, spoiled, wide-eyed, 17 year old kid. If I manage to go to college, it will be on scholarship, but even that is unlikely. Before you call someone spoiled and ignorant, learn your facts.
The point is, why does it matter to you if gay people marry? Are they forcing you to go to the wedding? Are they forcing you to let them get married in your church? No, they are not. Why does it matter to you then? It seems to me like you just want to cause drama, and fight with somebody, because your life is so miserable, you want everyone else's to be too.

What I don't understand is why this is even an issue. Why is it that marriages of an American and a person from another country are allowed, but marriages of same-sex Americans aren't? Why is it that, even though many other countries have accepted gay marriage, and embrace it and allow it, we are so close-minded and backwards we don't? The excuse of religion, is as they say in this video, complete crap. If gay marriage isn't allowed "according to the bible", then, I guess all the other things that happened in the bible, like people rising from the dead, and a carpenter being a Messiah, apply to real life too.
Live and let live, in my opinion, is the best way to go about this. Why do people who are straight have the right to tell gay people they can't get married? I am not gay, but I'm not straight either. I'm pansexual, so, I don't know whether this will affect me yet. But, I do know that several of my closest friends ARE gay, and want to get married to their partners, and so why should the government say they can't?
Also, gay people shouldn't have to make thier own churches. It is segregation, even if you deny it.
