Monica Hammond is an NYC based actor/writer/model. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at The Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School, and at the Stonestreet Institute for Film and Television. Monica also has training in improv and sketch comedy writing from the Uprights Citizens Brigade. Recent television appearances include the TODAY Show as a petite model for Teen Vogue, a promo opposite Tim Gunn for ABC, Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, Celebrity Ghost Stories as Carrie Fisher, as well as numerous commercials and industrials for major brands (GE, Constant Contact, Denny’s, Fage Yogurt). Monica's recent theater credits include productions at Theatre Row (NYC Premiere of Richard Dresser’s Wonderful World), The Connelly (The Time of Your Life, Dark Rapture), Williamstown Theatre Festival (Naomi in the Living Room), The Hangar Theater (The Argument, Cucumber Phil, Romeo and Juliet, Metamorphosis), NYU's Skirball Center (Galileo), Columbia University (The Seagull), WOW (Boston Marriage), The Public and Atlantic Theatre Company Second Stage (365 Days/365 Plays). She has spent past summers as a member of the LAB Company at The Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, and as an acting apprentice at The Williamstown Theatre Festival. Monica is also the Artistic Associate and Resident Actor of The Attic Theater Company.
