Matt Nagin is an American actor, comedian, and writer. As an actor Matt has had leading and supporting roles in numerous film and television projects. Matt's performances have been showcased at The Hoboken International Film Festival, The Los Angeles Cinefest, The Michigan International Film Festival, The Macabre Faire Film Festival, Roma Cinema Doc, The Williamsburg Film Festival, The Russian International Film Festival, and The Best Shorts Competition (Winner: Award of Recognition)...to name just a few. Matt has further made numerous television appearances on such channels as Lifetime, Travel Channel, Investigation Discovery, LMN, National Geographic, Animal Planet, and A&E. Matt is known for playing dark, troubled characters although he is equally adept at playing more humorous, upbeat roles. As a comedian Matt tends to push boundaries and play with the audience's expectations. He has appeared on The Dr. Steve Show (WPIX), on APTV, where he co-hosted The 2015 Winter Film Awards, and at The Edinburgh Comedy Festival. His one man show was given four star reviews and deemed "brilliantly irreverent" and "a stellar success." Matt tries to give back, as a comedian, and, of late, has served as the talent coordinator for the Gotham Comedy Foundation, an organization that brings comics into cancer centers and senior homes. In addition to all of the above Matt has a real love for literature (poetry, fiction, essays), and his writing has been published widely.
