Will Matthews ("Punk'd", "The Middle") and Cassandra Smith ("Chelsea Lately", Skate Great!) first met as students at The Atlantic Theater Company Acting School through the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. On the first day of class, Will was amazed by Cassandra's comedic skill and physical grace. Three years later, Cassandra noticed that Will was in the room. Few meetings (Burns & Allen, Monsanto & corn) have changed the face of comedy more. Upon graduation, they wrote and performed their first sketch comedy show at the St. Marks Theater in New York City's East Village. It was at midnight and they handed out free beers to anyone who showed up. Will was convinced that they had reached the heights of artistic expression, but Cassandra yearned for more. Since those humble and vaguely illegal beginnings (do you really need a liquor license in the East Village?), they have gone on to write and perform sketch shows at the New York International Fringe Festival, the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, the ACME Comedy Theater, and iO West. They are currently performing their new sketch show, Hot Pants, Cold Feet, on Tuesday nights at iO West.
