4. War of the Worlds (2005)

A little bit of Morgan Freeman voice-over goes a long way. After a crisp and commanding opening narration, audiences were left hoping the voice of Morgan would return to lend some humanity to this mechanical sci-fi spectacle. Alas, no such luck. We were forced to watch Tom Cruise awkwardly battle aliens with no help from Freeman's gravy tones.
