7 Inconsistencies In 'The Fresh Prince'
What had happened was...Aunt Viv was all... and then she was like...
We all know 'The Fresh Prince' was a great show. That's not up for debate. But there's no doubt some of the show's decisions and casting made no sense whatsoever. Calling them "inconsistent" would be letting them off easy. But alas, let's count them down.
#7. Will's Basketball Aspirations
The early seasons of the show make it very clear that Will's a basketball stud, single-handedly turning around an embarrassing program at Bel-Air Academy (and impressing all the slimmies no less). That he was highly-recruited prospect should be no surprise, as he was draining half-court shots with ease.
But for some reason, no college offer came. Instead, he enrolled at the local university, which of course was Carlton's safety school as well, and never mentioned his ballin' days again. Neither did the show.

#6. Uncle Phil's Deteriorating Health
Uncle Phil was fat. We were reminded of it any time he and Will were in the same room. Or he and Geoffrey were in the same room. Or he and anybody were in the same room. But the joking stopped for an episode when Phil suffered a very serious heart attack, landing him in the hospital in a situation so depressing that Carlton refused to come to terms with it.
I guess the producers didn't either. Episode ended, and Phil continued to be fat and the subject of more jokes.
"Looks like you eat here often."

#5. One Actress, Two Roles
Queen Latifah made a couple guest appearances during the show's first two seasons, but played two completely different characters. First season, it was as Hilary's horrific boss, Marissa Redmon. Second season, it was as Will's beautiful on the inside love interest, Dee-Dee.
Ignoring their common love of putting straws in their nose, Will ditched Dee-Dee to go the dance with an over-the-top annoying girl played by Nia Long. The very same Nia Long who would later appear as Will's fiance, Lisa.

#4. Will's Disappearing Friends
Remember his friend Ty? No? Good. That's what the producers set out to accomplish when he disappeared after high school, despite being one of Will's best friends.
And then there was Jackie, played by future rabies victim Tyra Banks. The two engage in a little "will they won't they" until she gets fed up with Will's antics at a frat party and storms out, demanding that Carlton drive her home. She was never seen or heard from again. Obviously, Carlton killed her.

#3. New House!
#2. Nicky's Hormone Problem
- I loved this show!
- That one actor, two roles thing isn't that bad. The Hercules Legendary Journey's had Lucy Lawless play two roles three episodes apart, and Freema Agyeman played a minor role in the finale of Doctor Who season 2, and spent the entirety of season 3 as MArtha Jones, the cousin of her original role.
- In episode 15 season 2 my brother's keeper where he meets is rival and recruiter are there Will let Marcus make the shot after the game Marcus teach Will that there is no futur in basketball the future is in education then they play one on one that's why Will never made it to the nba
- Jackie/Tyra was'nt killed by carlton lol episode 15 season 4 who's the boss Will said at the begining of the episode Will says in Jackie absense he is the new manager then the boss comes and say she's not coming back and the new manager is Carlton so they fight will quit carlton fail he go get will back and they become partner to manage the ULA student store
- Number 8 Aunt Janice white boyfriend is a different actor from season to season
- type alfonso ribeiro on the cast of fresh prince, janet hubert life after fresh prince and life after season 2 janet hubert in youtube to know why they changed aunt vivian
- Jim Meskimen was also Will teacher in Western Philosophy and after he was boss of the Hillary show and Will and Carlton worked for him also for the Hillary Show kkkks Phoenix
- They forgot one. The inconsistency of Will's age. He is frequently noted as any age ranging from 15 to 17.
