Nicholas has been creating moving pictures since the earliest days of junior high, where his work was so provocative and controversial it began airing across TV in his home state of Hawaii. He moved on to study film directing, cinematography and screenwriting at the University of Southern California, graduating with honors and receiving awards from the Nicholl Fellowship, American Zoetrope and American Screenwriting Association for his psychological tour-de-force, Needle & Ink. Nicholas’ first short film Real Fiction won the 2007 Panavision New Filmmaker Award, and he has since directed TV pilots for E! Entertainment, CBS, Adult Swim and Bravo Networks. He also expanded his focus into music videos, directing for such international Billboard Charting artists as Anthrax, Jason Dottley, and Miz Mandy. Nicholas’ videos have become such instant viral sensations that his work has since been profiled by The Huffington Post, The Advocate, IndieWire, Buzzfeed and Variety Magazine. In 2012, Nicholas founded LAM Productions, a multiple award-winning film, TV, music video and commercial production company whose clients include Fortune 500 companies as Procter & Gamble, Mattel, BMW; cable TV networks as BET, MTV, Fox, Lifetime; and theatrical studios Lionsgate and DreamWorks. Nicholas resides in Los Angeles where he is currently developing two back-to-back features, supernatural/slasher horror Inbox, and action-thriller Blood is Thicker with legendary cinematographer Christopher Doyle H.K.S.C. (In the Mood for Love, Hero, 2046, Happy Together, Chunking Express) attached.
