Jerusalem- During Sen.
Barack Obama's visit to the Western Wall last week, he left behind a
prayer note at the sacred site. According to Jewish tradition, prayers
placed at the Wailing Wall should never be seen by human eyes, but a
seminary student snatched up Obama's note and the contents were
published in the Israeli newspaper, Ma'ariv. Here are eight more recent
celebrity prayers stolen from the cracks of the Wailing Wall and
published here for the first time:
1. Matthew McConaughey: "Dear Lord, never let my son go without food or shelter, or with shirt."
2. John McCain: "Come on, at least let me win Arizona, for G-d's sake."
3.
David Duchovny: "Heavenly Father, grant the studio the wisdom to reconsider
the release date so we're not competing for the same audience as The
Dark Knight ."
4. Guy Ritchie: "Dear God, if I have to sit through another
Kabbalah class, I'm going to lose it. In the name of all that is good
and holy, let it come to an end."
5. Andy Dick: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I
cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom
to know the difference. Failing that, I'll take a really good 'hitting
bottom' story."
6. George W. Bush: "Give my wisdoms the abilities to govern smartly, bless my families, and God Bless United State."
7. Shia LaBeouf: "Please, please, please God, let it be under 0.08%."
