Hi Mr. Winkler, For a long time, I wanted to thank you for an unusual favor. I am quite the nervous airline passenger. In August 1997, I was flying from the Jackson Hole area back to LAX. I was booked in couch with my husband and you were up in 1st with your son for the leg from Salt Lake City on to LA. I saw you later the following week on a talk show stating that you had been up in Montana fishing. Well, my husand spotted you and told me to "check it out-- you were on board" Well, I did and sure enough it was you. I never said anything thinking you'd think I was the perfect idiot. But I wanted you to know that the experience of having you on that plane was distrating to my own stupid fears. I thought, the Fonz is here. Everything will be alright. and it was. I went on to attend many more conference far from where I live and work. Also joined volunteer groups and provided needed services (I am a nurse by profession) both in this country and ab road. So I wish to say thank-you. and I hope that you smile on reading about this crazy story.
